Chemistry? more like che-MYSTERY? don't worry you have come to the right place!
nucleus = the word nucleus refers to the central and most important part of an object. The word is used in both chemistry (the nuclues of an atom and biology, the nucleus of a cell- it consists of protonsn and neturons)
Proton = a stable subatomic particle occuring in all atomic nuclei; with a positive electric charge equal in magnitude to that of an electron, but of opposite sign.
Electron = a stable subatomic particle with a charge of negative electric found in all atoms and acting as the primary carrier of electricity in solids.
Neutron = a subatomic particle of about the same mass as a proton but without an electric charge; present in all atomic nuclei except those of ordinary hydrogen.
"Amu" = atomic mass unit
Isotope = different forms of the same element that have the same atomic number Z, but different mass numbers A because they have different numbers of neutrons in their nuclei
Radioisotope = different forms of the same element that have the same atomic number, Z,
Relative atomic mass= Ar ration of the average mass of the atom to the unified atomic mass unit.
One atomic mass unit= 1.66053892 x 10^-24
